I just finished watching the latest episode of The Silver Chamber of Sorrows on Astro On Demand. And got kicked away by my mum who wants to hog the television all to herself *hmmpf* So here I am in front of the PC blogging.
So yea, about Mother's day. My whole family just went out at night for dinner at The Curve. Mum wanted to have Korean food but the restaurant had either gone bankrupt or is currently under renovation. But I think it's the former because no notice has been put up. In the end, we had some German cuisine at some place called Barvarian Bierhaus or something which sounds like that. I didn't enjoy dinner because I'm not fond of German food. It's either tasteless or too salty or too sour.
And service there was not good at all. We were sitting there for 5 minutes and no one brought us the menu until my dad asked them for it. We ordered 3 main dishes to share amongst the 4 of us because the dishes come in large portions. And I ordered some beef goulash soup.
Waited for about 45 minutes before they brought me my soup and the first pork knuckle dish. And when I put the first spoonful of soup into my mouth, I nearly gagged! It was soooo salty! Nevertheless, I continued drinking since I didn't want to waste it. Not long after that, the second pork knuckle dish came with another bowl of soup. I pointed to the bowl of soup and told the waitress that we had only ordered one of that. She looked perplexed and asked us did we order the second pork knuckle dish. We said yes and only then did she explain that the "soup" isn't actually soup. It's actually the sauce for the pork knuckle dish!! Which explains why the first pork knuckle dish came at the same time with the "soup".
As for my soup, it never came and I didn't bother to remind the waitress because the main dishes have already been served. In the end, the bill came and they charged us for the soup that did not come! Of course we complained about it and they made some changes to the bill.
I am never going back to that place again! But my parents didn't seem upset at all. I suppose my dad and bro thoroughly enjoyed the fatty pork knuckles which I clearly did not.
After dinner, we headed to Tesco next door to, according to my mum, "Buy a few things." The end result:
It's always nice to catch up with each other and chat and chat and chat. Cheryl said she always get sore throat during these little outings and as for me, I get the phlegm. Results of yakking too much. However, I didn't get any phlegm this time cause I let Cheryl do most of the talking..hehe.
